We take your food very seriously. We appreciate that you are placing a great deal of trust in us by allowing us to be part of your food shopping experience. These Terms & Conditions are important; however, please remember that you, our customer, are more important.

If you have an issue, we want to fix it. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need assistance.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use this website.

1. Your Account

   • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password.
   • Elephant House may refuse to open an account or sell products to any person at its sole discretion.
   • Elephant House reserves the right to terminate your account at any time. If there are outstanding orders, we will either complete delivery or provide a refund.

2. Payment

   • Payment is due on the day of delivery.
   • If payment is not received or is declined, we reserve the right to cancel your order.

3. Fees & Charges

   • Prices listed on our website are subject to change without notice due to market conditions.
   • Current prices will always be displayed before you place your order.
   • If a price change affects an existing or future order, we will notify you via phone, email, or SMS.
   • Your credit card details may be securely stored to process any adjustments after delivery. Card information is not accessible to Elephant House staff.
   • Delivery charges shown at checkout apply to parcels up to 5kg. Additional charges may apply for heavier shipments.
   • Any quotation provided is valid for 72 hours (3 days) from the date issued.

4. Delivery

   • Delivery is available only within our service area.
   • Please ensure your delivery address is correct before placing your order.
   • The minimum order value for delivery is $50.
   • Orders must be placed or amended before 12:00 PM on the day of delivery.
   • If you request an unattended delivery, Elephant House is not responsible for theft or damage after delivery.
   • Frozen, chilled, or hot food items are not available for delivery.
   • If products are damaged during our transport, we will replace them or provide store credit.
   • Delivery times vary by postcode. Under normal conditions, delivery within Victoria Metro is approximately 3–7 business days. Delivery times to other regions may differ.

5. Product Information

   • We do not guarantee the accuracy of product descriptions or labels.
   • Please read all product labels before consumption.
   • Product images are for illustration purposes only and may differ from the actual product.

6. Out of Stock, Returns & Refunds

   • If an item is missing from your delivery, please contact us as soon as possible.
   • We will either replace the missing item or issue a refund or store credit.
   • If a product is out of stock, we will notify you where possible.
   • If you are dissatisfied with a product, please contact us so we can assist.
   • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
   • Refunds will be issued for approved returned items only. Original delivery charges are non-refundable.

7. Limitation of Liability

   Elephant House's maximum liability is limited to the purchase price paid for the affected products. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages except where required by law.

8. Changes to These Terms

   • Elephant House may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
   • Changes become effective immediately upon publication on this website.
   • Your continued use of the website indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
